8/25 Gold Head Branch State Park, FL

Near Keystone Heights, FL,  off FL21 about midway between Jacksonville and Gainesville.  2 nights here then will most likely arrive in the Tampa area on Saturday the 27th. We're about 167 miles out. Tomorrow I'll search on-line for camping areas near Missy and Chris.

On edit 8/26: Cute little skinks running around the campground. They're little lizards. There are also small cacti growing wild.  This is about the only somewhat hilly terrain that we've encountered for several hundred miles, and it's really not all that hilly.

We have reservations starting on Saturday the 27th at Little Manatee River State Park near Chris and Missy's place for the next week. Looking forward to seeing them soon.

It'll be interesting to see what options that we'll have for finding a site over the Labor Day weekend. May have to lower our standards, not that our standards hold up when we finally stop for the day and see what we've reserved. : )

  2. Thank you. Rain probabilities are high all week, the only 2 days that showed amounts had relatively low amounts. I know there is a tropical disturbance that the weather service has been following. Last night they were expecting the brunt of it to be SW of the Tampa area. They have hills around Wimauma?
