It's been a few days since I've had a data connection to post updates. I had to call Verizon to work their magic to get data and the hotspot to work here in Canada. We're in Campark campground in Niagara Falls Ontario for 2 nights. We visited the falls this afternoon. I think the view appears better on this side than the US side. Queen Victoria Park abuts the falls area for several blocks in length and is a nice grassy area but stray a couple of blocks from the river and it looks like a cross between a theme park and a carnival. Lots of places looking to take your hard earned money. City parking in the park was $10C for an hour and there were few spaces available but we were fortunate enough to find one as a car was leaving. Tomorrow we'll drive the car south about 25 miles or so just to say that we saw Lake Erie.
On edit: it was less than 40 miles between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario so we bagged them both today. No Plans for Thursday yet but I heard that it's a Canadian holiday weekend so it might be difficult to find a place to stay over the weekend.

And Lake Erie where we were kicked off the beach due to the NO DOGS ALLOWED rule but we sweet\talked the security person into letting us take a couple of pictures.BTW, it was a minimum of $5.00C for parking
Wow, busy beach! Probably hot and humid though. Your dogs r probably used to the beaches from all their camping trips. Those r some lucky dogs! John called a bit ago. I'm going down tomorrow to take him to dr. appt. He missed one last week. Then maybe to to get groceries. Hope u miss rains this weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeen pretty nice, hope it holds. We forgot to give John Taylors graduation pics so may get a chance today or tomorrow.
